Even with the best tools available after the Apocalypse, it is still not quite clear what permafrost is. Without a doubt, its a result of the arcane energies unleashed during the invasion from Hell. What is known, however, is that Permafrost is on one hand completely malleable, but on the other, acts as a perfect superconductor for heat. This allows for the creation of some amazing developments.
Permafrost is required to produce some of the most powerful rare Tier V weapons and armor in the game, such as the Beam Cannon.
In Judgment, permafrost is a Tier V scavenged crafting material that can be obtained during combat missions, and used for crafting.
